I’m Maopou and I’m a 14 year old girl from Germany.
This is my first entry on my ‘real’ blog (I only had one on Tumblr so far...), so I think I’m going to tell you how I got the idea of starting a blog!
It pretty much happened 4 days ago.
I just bought a game called Corpse Party, which I already knew for over a year now, but I never got to play it myself! I got a PS Vita for my birthday and it was available in the store, so I could finally buy it!
It has always been one of my favorite games, but now I love it even more, playing it for yourself is totally different from watching someone else doing so!
Okay, so back to the story of how I got the idea of blogging.
There’s this one character called Naho Saenoki in the game, who runs a blog about spooky stuff, like charms, ghosts, weird but cool stuff like that!
She’s one of my favorite characters in the game, hehe… but the idea of running a blog just like her never crossed my mind! Until now. I was playing the game and when she first appeared and her blog got mentioned, I had that feeling. I immediately thought „That’s something I want to do as well!“
But of course, I didn’t think of running a blog about cute and kinda creepy stuff at first, I wanted to do one just like Naho did in the game.
But the problems were:
- Where do I get information for this kind of things without having to read books or something about that?
- I’m actually not that interested in scary stuff or weird charms! (I do enjoy playing horror games a lot, though haha)
So now I stood there. What should I do? I really wanted to run a blog and didn’t want to let this idea go again. Luckily, a friend had the idea I could run a blog about cute stuff instead!
I really enjoy reading about cute clothing or plushies, I also watch lots of videos including sweets etc.! I really liked the idea, so now I had a base on which i could build my blog.
The next problem was the name: How do you come up with a name that’s not already taken or that sounds weird? I wanted to use something including one of my favorite animals (What would happen to be a cat!) and maybe something else! I wanted to use heimao (Black cat) at first, but of course it was taken, so I tried Heimaopou (Black cat + short form of pouding/the french word for pudding!) , this wasn’t taken, but I soon realised how weird it sounded. Then I just decided to let the „Hei“ away and now here I am, as Maopou!
Phew, I think I just finished my first blog entry! I’m going to make a page with all the stuff I like now heehee!
